Mull has one Munro (Ben More), one Corbett Top (Ben More A'Chioch) and one Corbett (Dun da Gaoith, above Craignure), so if you are bagging these you HAVE TO come to Mull, but these are far from the only interest for walkers. There are loads of other amazing routes.

You can do a hard day looking down on the golden eagles and ravens from the edge of 1000 foot sea cliffs, and another looking up at them from below, or both on the same day if you’re up for it.

You can follow in the footsteps of the cattle drovers, the Celtic monks of Iona, or the crofters expelled from their homes by the highland clearances. Or you can meander among the flowers and birds of the machairs and beaches.

Then at the end of the day you can return to your clean, cosy, comfortable and well-equipped base to reflect on life, the universe and everything.

No. Destination Difficulty Comments
1 Gualan Easy Stupendous views to the north.
2 Aoineadh Mor Mostly moderate Includes Ardtun Leaf beds - fossil beds which are steep and scary.
3 Erraid Easy Of "Kidnapped" fame. Watch - it really is tidal.
4 Dun'I Easy  Apparently Columba chose Iona because it was the first island he reached from which Ireland was not visible.
5 Malcolm's Point Strenuous You can start from Beach (pronounced "Bay-ach") or Carsaig. From Beach, there is a steep climb down a gulley to walk along the shore to the Carsaig Arches. Can continue past the Nun's cave to Carsaig. A long day.
6 Ben More Fairly strenuous The only Munro on Mull. Three routes. Easiest from the north.
7 Ben Graigh Moderate Pleasant climb.
8 Ben Fhada Moderate Can add to Ben Graigh to make a round trip.
9 MacKinnon's Cave Moderate Fairly steep climb down. The mouth of the cave can only be reached at low tide. The cave is about 200 meters deep, and pitch black for half its length. Torches essential.
10 McCulloch's Tree Strenuous Rough shore track for most of the way, with one part passable only at mid tide or lower. The tree is fossilised and clearly visible in the shore cliff. You can continue and climb a steep gulley to return via the summit of Ardmeanach.
