General Information

The cottage can accommodate five comfortably, and six at a squeeze, using a folding bed.

Downstairs Living/dining room (Fine for 4 or less, cosy for 5 and a bit cramped for 6 although there is another sitting area upstairs.) Modern kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, automatic washing machine and tumble drier. Double bedroom with standard double bed. Toilet with electric shower. Drying room.

Apart from the drying room, kitchen and bathrooms, the cottage is carpeted throughout.

CHILDREN    The cottage is equipped with a folding cot, a high chair, a safety harness, a safety gate for the stairs, a fireguard and a baby bath.

The garden is reasonably childproof, and the road beside the house is quiet.

EQUIPMENT   In addition to the things, which would be normal in any good self-catering accommodation, Knockan has:

	Satellite TV, VCR and DVD player
	Radio/tape/CD player
	Excellent selection of books on the locality
	A selection of fiction
	A selection of table games
	Binoculars

EXTRAS    There are no extra charges apart from the request under TELEPHONE below.

HEATING    Solid fuel stove in the living room (fuel supplied), fixed electric convection heaters in all other rooms. Heated towel rail in bathroom. 

LINEN        Bedlinen is provided, but you need to bring your own towels.

PETS    The garden is fenced and pets in the care of responsible owners are welcome, provided you inform us at the time of booking. We assume that you will not allow your pets to soil or damage the house or its furnishings, foul the garden area or disturb livestock, and that you will accept liability for any damage they may cause.

SMOKERS    We would prefer the whole cottage to be a smoke free zone, but, if you are a smoker, we would not wish you to feel unwelcome. If you can refrain from smoking in the house, that would be perfect, but, if the weather or the midgies make that impossible, everyone will be safer if you regard the bedrooms as strictly NO SMOKING areas.
